The Grand Opening!

Well, I’ve waited until my Squarespace trial ran out, very on brand for me, but I’ve decided to commit to this blog! I’ve paid for a full year, in hopes that sunken cost fallacy will force me to continue writing. If I’ve already invested time and resources then I have to stick with it, right?

I have no real clue how this’ll go. In my dreams this blog becomes popular with friends, family, co-workers, and students alike. Picture this: as I bid farewell to Japan, I swoop back to Vancouver, either sought after as a narrative wizard for my favorite games or enlisted as a games journalist, crafting top-notch critiques of the virtual realms I hold so dear. Gotta dream big, right?

As I decide to launch this little passion project, I think I’d be satisfied if I could even get 10 regular readers. If I can give readers a sense of my experiences, struggles, that would be enough. Who knows, I might even find a little catharsis along the way.

Mark your calendars, folks! Join me every Wednesday at 10 AM (my time) as I share my thoughts and adventures. For my Vancouver pals, that translates to 5 PM on Tuesday. I’m fairly flexible on when I post, so if you leave a comment and would prefer another time, I might just switch things up based on your schedule. The joys of having a small audience I suppose!

Eager to delve into my musings? Lucky for you, I've been quietly curating a back catalog for your perusal. My next post will (probably) next week at this time, so I hope you’ll be looking forward to it!

A massive thank you for reading my writing, it really does mean a lot. I can't wait to document and share my adventures here in Japan with you. I hope you’ll stick around, since I’m sure I’ll have plenty of things to say!

Cheers,

Mr. Hunter
